The Graduate String Quartet will work closely with VC Artist Calidore String Quartet during the two-year program
The University of Delaware School of Music and Calidore String Quartet are now accepting applications for the Graduate String Quartet Fellowship. This fully funded opportunity is for pre-formed string quartets whose members do not already hold Master of Music in Performance.
The Graduate String Quartet will work closely with Calidore during their two-year program. The Fellowship award includes full tuition remission and a generous stipend renewable for two years.
Auditions for Fall 2023 will be held in person at the University of Delaware campus on January 25-28, 2023.

Comprising violinists Jeffrey Myers and Ryan Meehan, violist Jeremy Berry, and cellist Estelle Choi, VC Artist Calidore String Quartet are former first prize winners at the M-Prize and Fischoff Chamber Music Competitions — and top prize recipients at the Hamburg and ARD Munich International Chamber Music Competitions.
In the Fall of 2021, Calidore joined the faculty of the University of Delaware School of Music and serve as directors of the newly established Graduate String Quartet Residency. Formerly, they served as artist-in-residence at the University of Toronto, University of Michigan, and Stony Brook University.
The ensemble is also the recipient of the coveted Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award, Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, and an Avery Fisher Career Grant.
Currently in residence with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the group is amidst recording the complete cycle of Beethoven’s String Quartets for Signum Records.
