Fantasma do Cerrado - Mapeamento de Terras a Noroeste de São Paulo de Piratininga

A
leaf falling downward. The rocking motion like a rhythmic lullaby. All
is pushed askew as a nomadic eddy of ground swirl shakes the sleeping
scene. A waltz of two emotions, serenity and chaos. They dance in our
line of sight, they sink deep into the depths of sound, teasing the conscious
in different directions. Connecting and disconnecting over a lifetime
of wavering seasons. Energy from spring and autumn, lulls from summer
and winter. The echoes of music carry over as saturated bliss spills
into the quiet void. Like a vintage wooden merry-go-round, the vivid
reality of its fantastic presence coupled with timeless tunes, laughter
and most likely tears. Mapeamento de Terras a Noroeste de São Paulo de Piratininga builds accord from disjointed
places in time. Life moments sparkling like embers rising up from a
fire, collected and harmoniously arranged in exquisite fanfare.

This
composition gently blows me away. The selections are delivered in
ethereal lightness while the melodies within hold sprawling nostalgic
warmth. But this is new, Fantasma Do Cerrado is creating sounds in
pathways just being explored. A fresh polarity of recognizable sonic
arrays shared in completely unique fashion. Serene creativity is the centered beauty
of six tracks on Mapeamento de Terras a Noroeste de São Paulo de Piratininga. Individual aspects listeners cherish
while the complete composition delightfully expands beyond known
approach. Gentle spectacular delight formed like leaves on a tree. We
associate in the moment while the tree wavers in the time before and
after we exist.

Rafael Stan Molina is the creative force behind the project Fantasma do Cerrado. This is the third release Lost in a Sea of Sound has had the pleasure to describe form the Brazilian label Municipal K7. All of these compositions can be found here. Mapeamento de Terras a Noroeste de São Paulo de Piratininga is also the third release for the label. All are in cassette physical format in very limited editions of fifty. Both previous releases Nascido em Swampland and Cedros Tanhang are down to a handful remaining. Now is still the time to pick up all three including Mapeamento de Terras a Noroeste de São Paulo de Piratininga. There is a tranquil connecting current for the three releases Municipal K7 has issued so far. Hopefully this will continue, since these sounds are personal, warm and stunning.
