Finalists Announced at New York’s Young Concert Artists International Auditions

The 2022 Final Round of auditions will be streamed LIVE here on The Violin Channel on Sunday November 13

 

The New York-based nonprofit Young Concert Artists (YCA) today announced the 12 young artists and ensembles who will proceed to the Final Round of the YCA International Auditions.

 

The 2022 Finalists are:

  • Abeo String Quartet

  • Violinist Leonard Fu

  • Pianist & Soprano, Chelsea Guo

  • Harpist Zachary James Hatcher

  • Flutist Stathis Karapanos

  • Violinist Emma Meinrenken

  • Pianist Chaeyoung Park

  • Cellist Chase Park

  • Bass-Baritone Joseph Parrish

  • Pianist Ilya Shmukler

  • Soprano Erin Wagner

  • Violinist, VC Young Artist Minami Yoshida

 

Each year, YCA uses its International Auditions to select a group of young musicians to add to their roster. The winning artists will receive debuts in both New York City and Washington, DC, as well as at least three years of career management.

They will be given performance opportunities, promotional marketing services, travel arrangements, educational residency experience, and extensive professional development.

The YCA International Auditions have been highlighting the work of exceptional young musicians for over 60 years. Previous winners include artists such as Emanuel Ax, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Dawn Upshaw, and Pinchas Zukerman.
