Joanne Shaw Taylor Releases Soulful Single “Fade Away”

Joanne Shaw Taylor, Fade Away

Joanne Shaw Taylor releases her new single “Fade Away,” a beautiful ballad about missing a lost love. From her upcoming album, Nobody’s Fool, the new song features Joanne on acoustic guitar and vocals and Tina Duo on cello (Hans Zimmer.) With melodies like these, all we need is for Taylor to sing them. Her vocals throaty and so soulful, “Fade Away” is a triumph for Joanne Shaw Taylor.

“Fade Away is a song I wrote about my mom who we lost in 2013. It’s a song about missing her, not being able to talk to her and if I was able to talk to her now, the advice she would give me and what would she say.” – Joanne Shaw Taylor

Nobody’s Fool is JST’s most personal album to date. She writes about lost love, regrets from the past, and hope for a renewed future. Her upcoming release takes Joanne into new territory that can be described as retro pop and R&B with a modern flare, yet still with the emotion of her blues roots.

Joanne co-wrote “New Love” with Josh Smith, Calvin Turner, and Dylan Altman, “Then There’s You” with James House, “Fade Away” with Sharon Corbitt, and “The Leaving Kind” co-written with Joe Bonamassa, Leslie Satcher, and Beth Nielsen-Chapman (Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt).

Born and raised in the UK, music icon Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics discovered Joanne at the age of 16. Joanne’s incredible guitar playing and distinctive, sultry vocals set her apart from the rest of the crowd. She soon established herself as one of the UK’s stars of the blues/rock world. With seven studio albums to her name, JST is regarded as a formidable artist and prolific songwriter. Now based in Michigan, Joanne’s last studio album The Blues Album was produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith.
