Kai Strauss & The Electric Blues All Stars (26 June 2019)

This show is jammed packed with awesome artists starting out with Ruth Wyand who plans a return to NZ soon. Check out what’s she’s doing with her one woman show here. And my co-host, Fatt Max aka Dr Jellybone, gets acoustic for us, check out his latest new release on bandcamp, it’s FREE! Flaming Mudcats are in the mix, their new new album, ‘Cut Loose’, is doing well. And to end the show a new track from Watermelon Slim, going out to my sister Sarah as she starts starts her Dry July. You got this Sarah!
In this episode we feature music from Kai Strauss & The Electric Blues All-Stars, a band consisting of European blues musicians. Although this band grow up in Germany, they are equally as authentic sounding as their American musical counterparts and heroes. Strauss has earned a solid place in the hearts of the blues community over the past 25 years.

“Even as a teenager, I was infected by the music of Buddy Guy, BB King or Jimmie Vaughan,” says the guitarist and singer, who is now considered in the European scene as one of the big names, according to the magazine Bluesnews.

Four German Blues Awards (including Best Guitarist 2018, Best Band 2016), TV appearances, music magazine covers and concerts in more than 20 countries are notable benchmarks in Strauss’ career.
