The Turnpike Troubadours Have a Big November Planned

The Turnpike Troubadours have a string of shows coming up October 20th-22nd at the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, TX, with the Friday and Saturday shows already sold out, and tickets almost gone for Thursday too that was added due to demand. Then they have a benefit show in Raleigh, NC on October 28th with American Aquarium and Elizabeth Cook, then on October 29th they will be in Atlanta for another sold out show.

In early November, The Turnpike Troubadours will be playing in Tuscaloosa, AL at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on November 4th, in Jacksonville, FL on November 5th at Daily’s Place Ampitheater, and then on November 6th they’re headlining the Greenville Country Music Fest in South Carolina.

But after wrapping up these shows, the boys from Oklahoma who will be returning home from touring all around the United States this year after officially reuniting in April at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. Consider it a true homecoming for a band that has earned it, and may just be getting started on what they have in store for the future.

The Turnpike Troubadours will be welcomed home in about the best fashion possible when they become officially inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame on Friday, November 11th at the Muskogee Civic Center. It’s a huge validation for Turnpike after clawing and scratching by for many years, and emerging from personal drama to become one of the biggest acts in all of independent country music at the moment, and proudly representing Oklahoma this entire time.

Going into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame with the Turnpike Troubadours will be a couple of other worthy names. Wade Hayes had a string of big hits in the 90s when signed to Columbia Records, but even when the hits stopped coming on radio, he never really slowed down. Also being inducted is Jim Paul Blair, who is a musician who played in Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys back in the day, and was a big booster for Oklahoma music over the years, including acting as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame before passing away in 2020.

Then on Saturday, November 12th, the Turnpike Troubadours will get to celebrate their Hall of Fame induction and homecoming by playing the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Yes, the Turnpike Troubadours will be playing an arena, with Blackberry Smoke and Morgan Wade opening the show. Not since playing Rodeo Houston has Turnpike played such a large venue.

It will be an important moment for the Turnpike Troubadours, and could be a precursor of bigger things to come. And who knows, maybe we will get a new single from an upcoming album from them soon, if not in November, then perhaps before the end of the year.

Fingers crossed.
