Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown undiluted blues

Nashville blues rockers, Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown have a new single: Ain’t None Watered Down is the grammatically tortured title that lets us know their quality is undimmed and the new album ‘Shake The Roots will be something to look forward to when it sees the light on September 9th.

I say that with some confidence as Tyler says this about the single and album to come:” So much was steeped in low down blues and rock and roll. One morning I was kicking around a little song idea with my wife and “Ain’t None Watered Down” was born. Everything fell into place so naturally….and it served as a road map of sorts for the new album.”

The song starts bluesy and powerfully with slide and bass drum and the builds nicely as the riff is picked up by the bass guitar and guitars…it is weighty, very bluesy and very lovely indeed. The shamefully short dobro solo is genius too.

The video may be a fairly straightforward band performance, but if it’s mimed then it’s done very well indeed and watching the dexterity on that lovely dobro-style guitar is a real treat and I may have even learned a few things. (An added bonus as Youtube moved automatically to the band’s acoustic performance of Ride…also lovely.)
